Better Job Confidence
This book is the best for self-study.
Each chapter I read makes it easier to do my taskes very easily and with a 100% cofedence. I had a task that took me about 4 hours to do in a non-profissinoal way; however, after reading the book it is about 1 minute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did this book go through editing at all?
This book is riddled with typoes and other mistakes. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone except that it is pretty much the only study guide out there that I am aware of. The CD with the practice test is helpful. I can't believe that a company with Oracle's status would endorse this publisher and allow them to print such a terrible book.

That is an excelent book for test prep. It has chapter tests and one full test on CD.

Lots of errors, but otherwise ok
This book has a lot of errors in, which I would consider to be a problem for anyone actually studying for the exam. I'd also agree that many of the topics tested on the exam are not fully covered here - I have already taken the exam, and several things were questioned that were not mentioned at all in the textbook. In addition, some of the errors were in the test questions and answers in both the book and downloaded material, which is very confusing. Overall I would say this book should only be used as a backup text to something better edited and more comprehensive.

Good book, bad for the exam
Most of the questions that were given in the exam are from the topics that are not well covered in the book. It is enough to get a pass mark though.

But definitely this book alone is not enough to get a 90+ percentile.

Good read for someone with very minimal database knowledge (like me).
