Fantastic book for Mac users!
The book came early than expected. The book looked new. It was VERY HELPFUL in solving some of the questions I had about my Mac. I cross referenced it with the other `MACS for Dummies` book to learn even more about how to operate my MacBook Pro. Excellent book for MAC users!
And at the right price.

Great Book/ careful to get the right edition,,.
This is a great general reference to the Macbook. I only wish I had payed closer attention to the Edition I was ordering. I needed the 2nd edition and had to re-order. Most of the book is the same, but the new Leopard OS was only in the 2nd edition,,.Otherwise a great purchase!

No Dummy now
Another great book for `Dummies`. I'm new to Mac and this book has proven to be very valuable. Didn't have time to take the Mac classes that are offered at the store, so there were things about the Macbook that I had no clue how to do. I'm reference this book frequently and would be lost without it.
The only reason I didn't give it a five was because there was an issue downloading from Itunes and I couldn't find the solution in the book. (I called Apple and was helped after some research from the technician).
Maybe I should give the book a 4 and 1/2.

MacBook for the PC Hater
Although helpful in sections for older Macbooks I couldn't fight my way through to the end of this one. The author can not separate himself from his egocentric ideals. As both a Mac and PC user I find it irritating to constantly be told that Mac users are more intellectual than PC users. Many times, over and over again we are reminded that the author, Mark Chambers, thinks highly of Mac users and looks down at the lesser PC user. It gets old by page 50. One sentence `You might have heard of the window switcher: a uniquely intelligent species that's becoming more and more common these days` sealed the deal for me.

Disappointing

MacBook For Dummies
I recently purchased a MacBook after using a PC for too long and wanted to get a quick course on what to expect this book helped make the transition easy and also what to expect.

The Mac is really so easy to use that one would think that a book would not be necessary, but having used PC's at work and home for several decades there were a lot of habits that I needed to break and I did not want too many surprises,,.this book really helped make that transition easy and enjoyable.

I own a couple dozen `Dummy` books and they always provide good information in a short precise manner and are easy to read and understand.
