Windows 7 Secrets
A resonable reference volume. Very little information that is not contained in other books such as Windows 7 Inside Out, and missing discussion on several topics such as Fonts.

Mistake
I have found fewer than 40% of the subjects that I looked for in the index.

Good reference book
Good book with a very large coverage. `Secrets` is a bit of stretch though, one would expect more in-depth technical information that is missing from this book.

User review
Great guide to Windows 7
Very complete, easy to understand tutorial and reference guide to Windows 7 for the intermediate to advanced user.

My only complaint is that the paper it's printed on has a cheap, newsprint-like feel.

A `WOW` book for Windows 7
End November I tried to install Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade without success (darn). Took it in to the computer shop, they completed the upgrade for me. hehehe this book said not to upgrade, but to do the clean install.

Now,,. I am on my own to fine tune my new Windows 7 with my book Windows 7 secrets. I received my computer back having to set desktop, taskbar properties, eliminating old printer drivers, eliminating an old version of Nero that was 'supposed to be compatible'. A lot of other chores.

This book is sitting next to my computer resourcing me along to get my new Windows 7 on board.

I look something up, there is it, I read it and I understand what to do next.

A great book for now and later.
