A perfect download for your Kindle book when you go to a friend's house who askes a lot of questions. User review A Must Have Heard about J. Peter Bruzzese's presentation at TechEd 2008 Conference. So I had to get copy. Bruzzese `Masters` quite a variety of helpful tips and `Tricks` to help users and administrators make the most of their Vista experiece. It is obvious he spent a lot of time pulling together a great collection of helpful information. Good job! User review A Vista users must have Great book! Alot of knowledge. If you want to get the most out of using Vista, I highly recommend getting this book. You'll learn from an expert and the multitude of experts that contributed. User review Thank goodness I bought this book!! To say I would have been lost if I didn't buy this book is an understatement. I have been using Windows since version 3.1 and when 95 came out I got stuck in the look of that interface. I am a home/small business pc user and have Vista Ultimate on my new laptop. I bought this book in anticipation of getting a new system with Vista on it. I knew nothing of Vista prior to purchasing my laptop and didn't want to be lost trying to figure out a new OS. This book has clear and concise instructions on many different topics - from beginner to advanced Vista functions. I am thrilled that I owned it prior to my laptop's arrival. I wanted to engage the bitlocker technology and had no knowledge of how to do so or how it would help protect my files. I was able to easily configure my hard drive for the bitlocker setup and get my laptop up and running in a flash - not to mention I learned a little about how Vista helps to protect my files with it's other integrated features. I am also grateful for the keyboard tips and tricks. I have always liked using keyboard shortcuts and now I know how to personalized my shortcuts to my needs. I haven't read this book from cover to cover - but I didn't need to. It is set up so you can look up the topic you are interested in and read only about that. My husband has Vista Premium on his laptop and has been able to use this book to tweak his system. This book covers many topics for all users and is worth owning. I feel I have two books in one. It supplies a wealth of information for beginners and techies alike! User review Don't be Tricked I have always found it useful to have a `Tricks or Tips` type of book for each OS that I use. They are a good way to shortcut finding solutions and getarounds, saving time and lowering the frustration factor. This book does not even come close to the mark. It contains information that can be found in the indexes of any good `Vista Bible` type of book, just condensed. Much, if not most of the `Tips` are directed toward Administrators, very little to Home Users, which is what I am. This would be fine if I was using XP Professional in my house, but like most home users I have Vista Home Premium installed. If you are looking for Vista Admin Cliff Notes, then this is for you. If not I, suggest that you pick up a copy of `Windows Vista, Inside Out` by Microsoft. The index tells the story. Other books on Windows Vista | |||||||||||
